ReggieAI Terms of Use
1. Introduction. ReggieAI is a software platform developed by HEAG to support financial aid professionals in understanding and managing Title IV regulatory compliance. By accessing or using ReggieAI, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.
2. Purpose and Disclaimer. ReggieAI is designed as an educational and workflow support tool. It is not a substitute for professional judgment, official regulatory guidance, or human due diligence. All outputs, including AI-generated answers, checklists, or templates, should be verified against official federal regulations. HEAG disclaims any liability for errors, omissions, or misinterpretations resulting from the use of Reggie AI.
3. User Responsibilities. Users agree to:
• Not upload personal identifying information (PII) or student-specific financial aid data. The system is intentionally designed to reject such inputs.
• Use Reggie AI solely for lawful, professional purposes.
• Apply independent judgment before acting on any information provided by the platform.
• Maintain their own institutional compliance records separate from ReggieAI.
4. Prohibited Uses. You may not:
• Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or extract proprietary data from ReggieAI.
• Use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, or unauthorized purposes.
• Upload content that violates intellectual property, confidentiality, or data privacy laws.
5. Third-Party Platforms. ReggieAI incorporates components and services from third-party providers, including but not limited to Supabase (authentication, storage, database), Botpress Cloud (orchestration, NLU, HITL), OpenAI (language model), Resend (email delivery), HubSpot, and Lovable (front-end deployment). Your use of Reggie AI may therefore also be subject to the terms of service and privacy policies of those third-party providers. HEAG does not control and is not responsible for the practices of such providers, but we integrate them to deliver a smooth and reliable user experience. By using Reggie AI, you acknowledge that such third-party terms may apply in addition to these Terms.
6. Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) Review. Depending on your chosen service level, certain complex or sensitive queries may be escalated to a HEAG expert for review. Users acknowledge that their questions and the AI’s draft response may be viewed by HEAG staff during this process. This ensures compliance accuracy but does not alter the disclaimers in Section 2.
7. Intellectual Property. ReggieAI, its underlying software, branding, and all content (excluding user-generated content) are the property of HEAG. Users may export or reproduce outputs only for internal institutional purposes.
8. Limitation of Liability.
• Reggie AI is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
• HEAG is not liable for regulatory findings, penalties, or losses incurred through reliance on ReggieAI outputs.
• HEAG is not responsible for outages, errors, or failures of third-party service providers.
• In no event shall HEAG’s liability exceed the amount paid by the institution for the service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
9. No Third Party Servicer Relationship
HEAG provides the ReggieAI platform as a technology tool designed to support users’ internal compliance and operational workflows. HEAG does not undertake to perform, and does not assume responsibility for performing, any functions that would cause HEAG to be deemed a Third Party Servicer on behalf of any user under applicable U.S. Department of Education regulations or guidance.
Use of ReggieAI does not establish, and shall not be construed to establish, a Third Party Servicer relationship between HEAG and any user, whether institutional or individual. Each user retains sole responsibility for determining and fulfilling its own regulatory, reporting, and compliance obligations.
Termination. HEAG reserves the right to suspend or terminate access if a user violates these Terms.
10. Governing Law. These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
