How ReggieAI Was Born
In summer 2023, HEAG saw a problem and an opportunity.
The Problem: Financial aid offices were drowning in regulatory complexity while AI tools were emerging everywhere – but none were built for Title IV compliance. Generic AI tools hallucinated. Consultants were expensive and limited. Manual research consumed hours daily.
The Opportunity: What if we could combine AI’s speed with HEAG’s 35+ years of Title IV expertise – and build in human oversight from day one?
Karyn Wright-Moore (VP of Compliance) and Jay Burgess (Technical Solutions Analyst) partnered to build something different: purpose-trained AI, backed by human experts, with audit-ready documentation built in.
After 18 months of development, testing, and validation – achieving 95%+ accuracy through rigorous QA processes – ReggieAI launched in early 2026.
